There are many ideas and techniques we have had to employ the get the right effects over the years here are just a few, In order to get the right shades of cloth or the right pattern if can't be found in a shop I have often applied the technique of dying the cloth either tie dye or a straight flat colour dye to achieve just the right colour.

Most often the best thing to wear under chain mail in order to make it more comfortable to wear is a quilted material this can be incorporated in to most costume designs but can also make a very warm costume for cold winter nights or just a stunning feature to make a costume really stand out in a crowd quilting a section of cloth is a long and painstaking process but in the end well worth the effort I feel if it what makes the costume special totaly worth it.

Many people's characters belong to houses or knightly orders which require them to wear house colours or heraldry we can offer either painted heraldry or the much more popular technique which is otherwise know as decoupage incorporating a layering cloth and embroidery technique.

All items can be trimmed with a huge range of ribbons and cloths, and of course if you wish lining and pockets can also be added to your costume.

Leather work can be embossed, dyed, painted or studded with any number of colours or patterns.

If however you have a pile of cloth lying about that you always meant to do something with but just never seemed to have the time there are various people who send us there materials along with what they would like made and then we only charge for the time spend creating the items, the same with items which require altering a favorite dress that doesn't quite fit anymore or a pair of pants that has split, post them to me or drop them off at one of the many events we attend over the summer and I will repair them for the cost of the time spent repairing the item.

Don't be fooled by the impression custom costume means expensive or elaborate, indeed a lot of the items I am asked to produced are often a simple robe or tabard, as for cost well a pair of bracers can vary from £15 anything up to £45, or a tabard £8 to £50 it entirely depends on what you have in mind, but one thing we can guarantee is it costs nothing to ask for a quote and you have nothing to lose in doing so, you might get a nice suprise. Always we prefer to ask for a picture to illustrate what you are looking for, it makes it so much easier to create what you want if we know what you are thinking of, however this is not completely necessary, simply a good description will often do.

Of course we do require for people to send us a set of there measurements in order to get the right fit, a copy of how to take the measurements and a information form can be found HERE. remember when taking measurements it is very important to be honest I deal with allot of people large and small and all information given to us is kept confidential and impartial
